Blognonymous In Mind-bending 3C!!!

You've seen it in 2 column.
Now view Blognonymous in eye-popping, mind-bending, 3C!!!

The fluid content column is tremendous! The floating sidebar is stupendous!!
The amount of work Kvatch put in was HORRENDOUS!!!

New content provides the thrills!
Kvatch's opinions are still shrill!
Tons more ads should pay the bills!

(And please let me know what you think or if you see any problems in your browser.)

looks good, in both IE and Firefox
Firefox for Wintel: looks snazzy--except the right-sidebar needs additional space above the line "Previous Posts" (the Google ad line overlaps it by 1 or 2 pixels).
I'm all about the three columns. Nice.
I've forever been of the mind, when it comes to web page or blog design, that if it makes YOU happy........:)

But then, I can spend a very contented hour doing nothing but smashing Bush's Head into round balls, so I don't think I'm a good critic.:)
Looks great in Firefox 1.5. In IE 6, the 3 columns also look good. But post titles are in a larger point-size than in Firefox. Not a problem in itself, but when longer titles wrap, there is no space between the 1st and 2nd lines.

Just a minor issue. Otherwise I really like the layout.
Looks really good, Kvatch! And I've seen ALOT of 3C's that DO NOT. . .=)
Thanks for the compliments all. Regarding some specifics:

Mr_Blog... I think I've got the overlap issues solved. It was a bad pixel spec in the template.

Abi... I'm still working on the font sizing thing. Safari/Firefox on the Mac look great. Firefox on Windoze doesn't respect my size requests, and IE7 on Windoze picks sizes that are way...Way...WAY out of whack, as you can see. I'll do some more work tonight. I'm trying to get my ad placement down right now.

Looks good to me. I need to take style and design lessons from you. I haven't had a blog makeover in a long while.

Do I need to change the destination on my blog roll?
WS...nope! I own "blognonymo.us" so nothing changes on the blogrolls. In the background, my domain is being switched to another registrar in the next day or so, and I'll switch to another hosting service soon thereafter.

The 3-column layout should be in place sometime tonight.
nice. me gusta.
Oh, I misread, I thought that was a 5th column.
Beautiful. You did all this yourself? Man, that takes talent.
Thanks Comandante, Peacechick! Actually I'm a mess at UI design. Thou I am in the software development bizz, the rule-of-thumb for places I work is: If Kvatch thinks it's a good idea we probably should do exactly the opposite.

Oh, I misread, I thought that was a 5th column.

Just for you 1138: "There shall be 3 columns, and the number of the columns shall be three. Thou shall not have 4. Neither shall thou have 2 unless there be an extra. 5 is right out.
Looks good in Netscape 8 and I haven't really checked it out in IE yet.

God Bless.
I've been wanting to do this to my own blog for quite a while. I so want You Forgot Poland! in 3C now.
Oh yeah, and btw, the new layout looks great. :)
Thanks Mags, AnonP. So then I'll be looking for You Forgot Poland! in 3C any day now, right? :-)
Hey now, I just switched over to the "new" Blogger.

I'm not all that tech savvy.

I know, hard to believe, right?

A further observation re Wintel Firefox and Google adbar overlap-- the center column is acting like the width is relative rather than absolute. But I peeked at your code and it appears that you've specified absolute values.
Mr_Blog... That use of the fixed width is to fool IE7 into not running the center column all the way out to the end of the page. As for the overlapping vertical space issue on the Adsense stuff...I'm stumped. I've seen this on some other blogs as well only when using Firefox 2/Wintel. I don't have a clue how to fix it. At first I thought it was a font-size issue, but changes to reduce the font-size don't take, and in general Firefox on Wintel seems to place very 'fast-and-loose' with fonts.
Looks good. I love the larger and darker font.

That sounded ...um, lascivious. I should be ashamed of myself.
