More Political Ads Like This Please

THAT is a killer ad.
It is outstanding, isn't it? Exactly the sort of 'get-you-where-you-live' stuff that we need to be using on all of the Midwest Republicans.
I heard a smear attempt that went something like this: "Michael J. Fox didn't care about Parkinson's until he had it."

Just... Wow.
Rush Limbaugh claimed on his show recently (ref that ad), "that either [MJF] had stopped taking his medication, or the whole thing was faked." Compassionate Conversatism. On guard 24/7...(:

The f*ck you say?! Whoever mouthed that needs to be thrown to the lions. "X didn't care about animal conservation until he was running away from one!"

TFWY, Limbaugh is one step above Mike Savage in my opinion--barely human and looking to move down.
Yes. Maybe Michael didn't seem to concerned about it until it ravaged his body, but with taht same logic, we don't concern ourselves too much with oxygen until at birth when we're forced to take it!
too

that
I also heard that Lush Pimpjaw suggested that Michael J. Fox might have gone off his medications before shooting the ad. Just to illict sympathy.

Maybe there's some truth to that. After all, isn't Gush an expert on medication?

Ya think?
Before he testified in Congress about the benefits of stem cell research, Michael J. Fox went off his meds (and stated that he did) so that the Representatives could see the devastating effects of Parkinsons. Even with meds, Fox says he has good days and bad days. My aunt died from Parkinsons, which she lived with for 40 years - and it kept getting worse, even with meds.

Fox has something that his detractors lack: Dignity AND courage.
Having just returned from a trip where we drove through the whole state of Missouri, I hope many MO residents are exposed to THIS ad. B/c on I-70 all they are getting are "vote no on prop. 3" billboards with lies about cloning and buying eggs. It's disgusting!
Mike, TPM, all of this crap from Limbaugh, et. al. is all just bullsh*t posturing. Nobody goes to a cancer patient and says, "He only looks that bad because he's off his chemo."

Fox has something that his detractors lack: Dignity AND courage.

Well said, Diva! Parkinsons is heavy burden to bear, and I doubt that a scum like Limbaugh could handle it with half the dignity and resolve that Fox shows.

Pam, tell me more... I haven't been in MO in almost a decade.
There goes your Youtube rule...lol!
There goes your Youtube rule...lol!

So true. How the mighty have fallen. ;-) In my defense though, I've only done one per week.
I can hardly watch that video it touches me so deeply. If there were any justice in this world, Limbaugh would have to trade places with M. Fox.

On a side note, how did you make the YouTube video so small? Duh, what can I say, froggy. Not all humans are as evolved as you.
Kathy, I think the video is outstanding and should be shown in every state where there is a politician against stem-cell research.

As for the vid size. There is not much that you can do about it. It seems to have only two sizes, but that said...the trick is to change the width or height attribute on the embedded object that you get from YouTube. In other words, they have a snippet of code that you include in your post and that snippet has height and width specifications. Change either to a small size and it seems to pick the smaller version.
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to try it soon.
