As The Iraqis Stand Down

Washington (f-A-ke. P.) -

Today President Bush announced that 1500 US troops currently stationed in Kuwait would be "standing up" to replace 1500 Iraqi troops that had suddenly decided to sit down in the Ramadi area. When asked about what appeared to be a sudden change in policy, the President replied -
Nah that was just a mistake. I meant--what I meant to say was, 'As the Iraqis stand down we will sta--'
The President soon left the briefing room clutching his left-side after being poked hard in the ribs by former Deputy Chief of Staff, Karl Rove.

Are we now turning around from the last corner we turned? Are the throes not the last ones? Are we calling "do overs"?

Is that hard to understand?
Cartledge, I've often thought that the Kowboy Koward speaks in code...or maybe that was tongues. I can never keep it straight.

SA, "North, West, South, and East..." above, below, left, and right stand up, sit down, fight, Fight, FIGHT!

CopyE, Wow, if fake news makes you pessimistic, then what do you do with the real news? But seriously, I think that this sort of stuff was pretty predictable. The situation in Iraq is deteriorating pretty rapidly.
